Monday marked the last day of school for the class of 2022. Prior to their exit, eight college-bound seniors left the underclassmen with some college application advice.
Ada Cogill will be attending McGill University in Montreal
“Do not have your mind set on just one school. For college essays, write about your interests and something that you're passionate about.”
Jake Laprade will be attending UMass Boston
“Don’t feel like you need to apply to a ton of colleges, and don’t be afraid to apply to some reach schools!”
Eric Linari will be attending John Cabot University
“Apply for schools where you actually want to go and not where other people want you to go.”
Jamie McDonough will be attending Elms College
“It’s a long process, but it’s all worth it in the end. Just be patient.”
Dillon Hoey will be attending Salve Regina
“Be open-minded to everything. I had no idea I was going to go to college for football until my coach asked if I wanted to. Now I am committed to Salve Regina.”
Anna Duff will be attending UMass Amherst
“Write your essays as soon as possible and research different types of colleges to see what kind of school suits you best.”
Susan Reynolds will be attending UMass Amherst
“Do your research and do not wait until the last minute to get everything done. Also, have a good mix of target, safety, and reach schools to apply to.”
Kaitlin Sullivan will be attending UMass Amherst
“Don’t stress. Everything will fall into place. Just focus on getting your work done.”
Alyssa Keane, Class of 2022, is a member of the Marauder on the Move group. She plays soccer and lacrosse for the Dedham Marauders. She will be attending Trinity College in the fall.
