Bruno Mars’ Romantic Tour came to Gillette Stadium on September 5th and 6th, performing to sold-out crowds both nights with a combined attendance of approximately 130,000 people.

The show began with Anderson .Paak acting as DJ Pee Wee, performing generational hits such as “Ain't No Mountain High Enough”, “Dancing Queen”, “Take On Me”, “Jump Around", "Toxic", and “FE!N”.  We thought he did an exceptional job of getting the crowd going. Everyone was dancing, singing, and putting their hands in the air. We also enjoyed the fact that he played different songs from every generation that almost everyone knows. That made it a lot easier for everyone to enjoy his set and kept the crowd entertained before the main show. 

Raye was the second opener before Bruno. She did a great job singing songs from her discography, with a standout performance of her hit “Where Is My Husband.” Her vocals were strong, and she was a great addition to the lineup. We just wish she'd played more of her bigger hits, such as “Escapism.”

Bruno Mars came on stage singing the song “Risk It All,” and the whole stadium erupted. He continued through hits from his older albums such as “Doo-Wops & Hooligans”, “Unorthodox Jukebox”, and “24K Magic”. The set mixed newer songs with some of his biggest older hits, keeping the concert interesting from beginning to end.

One highlight was seeing Bruno perform with his group Silk Sonic. It was incredible to see Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak together. It was a fun moment that brought a different kind of energy to the show. Bruno also showed off his dancing and incredible vocals throughout the night. He also showed his musical dexterity by playing multiple instruments, including the piano, drums, and guitar. He interacted with the crowd often, which made the stadium feel even more involved in the performance.

We thought that Bruno absolutely killed it on stage. He really knows how to keep a crowd on their feet and sing all night long.  We thought his setlist was perfect; it had a good mix of his newer songs and a solid number of his older songs. The setlist included hits like “24K Magic”, “Treasure”, “I Just Might,” “That's What I Like”, “Marry You,” “It Will Rain”, “When I Was Your Man”, “Locked Out of Heaven”, “Just The Way You Are”, and “Uptown Funk.” The production, energy, and live performances made the concert feel like more than just listening to his music. It was an experience that kept the entire stadium entertained.

All in all, it was an amazing concert and definitely lived up to the hype. Bruno proved why he is such a successful performer, and the combination of his music, dancing, vocals, and stage presence made it a night the crowd will never forget.
