Mirror: What is your role at DHS?

Feliz: As an Education Support Professional, I assist the teacher in their respective classrooms. This year I've been assigned to help out in Spanish, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, World History, Physics, and Chemistry.

M: Where did you work before coming to DHS?

F: I previously worked for Boston Public Schools, specifically at Madison Park High School.

M: Where did you go to college?

F: I attended Western Oklahoma State College for two years and then transferred to Fisher College soon after.

M: What do you like most about working in education?

F: I like the joy and satisfaction in knowing that I am helping others achieve their academic goals and also being a blueprint/example to any who may feel lost or have no direction in their high school careers.

M: Where are you from?

F: I was born and raised in Boston, specifically Jamaica Plain.

M:  What are your hobbies?

F: Playing video games ( PS5), working out 5 days a week, coaching/ training baseball/softball athletes at the facility, being a dad.

M: What are your pet peeves in the classroom?

F: One of my pet peeves in class is when someone is talking over the other person while presenting--that's pretty rude. Also, when someone is distracting other students.

M: What do you like about Dedham?

F: I like how Dedham is a close-knit community, and everyone is very accommodating and friendly.

M: What inspired you to become a teacher?                              

F: Through coaching and mentoring, I developed my passion for teaching others. 

M: What is your favorite movie?

F: All of the John Wick movies. 

M: What is your favorite book?

F: The Life You Imagine: Life Lessons for Achieving Your Dreams by Derek Jeter.

M: Favorite song? 

F: Future by March Madness.

M: What sets you apart from other teachers?

F: My sense of style and personality. Also, my young-looking face lol.

M: Will you be involved in any extracurricular activities?

F: I want to either coach or volunteer my time to coach for either the baseball, softball, or basketball teams. 

M: Favorite apps on your phone?

F:  Instagram.

M: Favorite food/favorite restaurant? 

F: Favorite food: pizza (Cheese ). Favorite Restaurant: Santarpio's (East Boston). 

M: Favorite sports team?

 F: Boston Red Sox.
