Beginning this month, DHS will reimplement Marauder High Fives, a recognition initiative that aims to acknowledge model students.
High Fives were introduced last year during the COVID-19 lockdown. Each Friday, an email was sent out containing staff recognition of students exhibiting diligence and positive attitudes. It was an uplifting part of the week that helped to encourage students throughout the challenges of remote learning.
This time around, High Fives will be sent out at the end of each month. Acknowledged students may even receive small gift prizes.
"We're excited to have an opportunity to recognize students for the hard work that they are doing in very challenging circumstances," said Dr. Dudley, one of the initiative's coordinators.
The DHS community is encouraged to keep an eye out for this month’s email recognizing our High Five students.
