Mirror: What is your role at DHS?
Clancy: I am a paraprofessional in the alternative program, mostly in English and Social Studies courses. I also help out in Sra. Leonard-Schaffstein’s Spanish class.
M: How long have you been teaching?
C: I have been working with young people for most of my working life, probably 10 years total. This is my 3rd year working in a school setting.
M: Where have you taught before?
C: I worked at the Washington Irving Middle School in Roslindale through City Year Boston, and more recently was a substitute teacher at the East Boston Early Education Center and the Orhenberger in West Roxbury.
M: Where did you go to college?
C: I went to Assumption College, now Assumption University. I graduated in 2018 with a major in Global Studies and Political Science.
M: What do you like most about teaching?
C: Building positive relationships with students and working collaboratively to help them achieve their goals.
M: Where are you from?
C: I’m from Dedham! I attended Oakdale Elementary, Dedham Middle School, and graduated from Dedham High in 2014.
M: What are your hobbies?
C: I love all kinds.
