The DHS Best Buddies Program organized a basketball game against several members of the Dedham Police Department on November 13th. The game, dubbed "Buddies vs. Badges," resulted in the DHS Unified Basketball Team winning with a final score of 66 to 17.

Snacks, drinks, and shirts were on sale in the gymnasium, along with raffle prizes to Dedham restaurants, including Pancho’s and Belaggio’s. The entire gym was decorated with posters, streamers, and balloons, creating a fun atmosphere for attendees.

Many fall sports athletes attended the game, cheering on the players and creating an overall positive vibe.

The team also celebrated their two seniors, Isabella Annatone and Peter Tittler. Both were rewarded with gifts and posters to congratulate them on their hard work.

Annatone is the president of the Dedham chapter of Best Buddies and has put in a tremendous amount of work to help the program grow and become as successful as it is today. After the game, she commented, “My biggest takeaway from the game was seeing the awesome teamwork everyone showed on and off the court to make the event special.”

Tess Parke, a player on the Unified team, also shared her thoughts on the game: “It was great to see all the players having so much fun.”
