The 66th Annual Grammy Awards took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4th. The ceremony celebrates and honors the music industry with more than 75 different awards.

Miley Cyrus won 'Record of the Year' for her song Flowers, which she also performed. 'Album of the Year' went to Midnights by Taylor Swift, making her the first person in Grammy history to win the category four times (for Fearless, 1989, Folklore, and Midnights). Song of the year ended up in the hands of Billie Eilish for What Was I Made For?--a song that was released as part of the soundtrack for the Barbie Movie. Victoria Monet won 'Best New Artist.' This was big upset, as the award was expected by most to go to the pop up artist Noah Kahan.

Live performers included Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and the most-nominated artist, SZA.

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the night was when Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs sang a duet of Chapman’s original song Fast Car from 1988, which Combs covered in 2015.

It was boring night for fashion. Not many people other than Miley Cyrus, who wore a dress made completely out of gold safety pins by Maison Margielia, wore anything outstanding or unique. Not to downplay how amazing all of the celebrities looked, but the Grammy’s is an extravagant event, and many people took the simple route this year.
