The Dedham community bid a heartbreaking farewell to a DHS legend last month when former school psychologist Mike Monaghan lost his six-year battle with cancer.

His obituary stated that he considered the staff at DHS "second to none" and missed the "expert teamwork with his colleagues."

The Mirror asked some of Mr. Monaghan's closest colleagues to pay tribute.
