DHS PAC Presents Taylor Swift Tribute Concert

December 22, 2023

The DHS Performing Arts Company and Tri-M co-hosted their first ever Taylor Swift Tribute Concert last Wednesday. DHS students got the chance to sing some of their favorite Taylor songs to fundraise for the fine arts program.

Hosted by DHS student Sam Badeau, and run by tech head Jack Watson, performers took the stage singing songs from every Taylor ‘era’. Senior Mary Coakley started off the night by singing “Mine,” wowing the crowd in the process. Following her, Sophie Bauman kept the ‘Speak Now’ theme going, singing “Back to December”.

Not only were there solo acts, but a few duo’s as well. Renee Saint Amour and Tony Baldawi paired up to sing “Everything has Changed,” a classic featuring Ed Sheeran. Another duo, Izzy Masterson and Sadie Croscup, transported us back to summer singing a Folklore album favorite, “August”.

The lively crowd sang along to many of Taylor's top hits, one of them being, “Style” sung by Luca O’Connor. Maeve Keogh captivated the crowd singing “New Years Day,” the last track off of the Reputation album.

Jackie Luszcz brought an end to the night with an incredible performance of “Mastermind,” engaging the crowd and encouraging members to sing along.

These were just a few of the astounding singers that performed, accompanied by several others. Overall, this was a very fun to watch, and it was incredible to see so many exceptionally talented DHS students singing to support what they love the most--the Performing Arts Company.

Mark your calendars for the DHS' Performance of the musical “Mean Girls” in March! It won't be a show to miss!
