The Salem Witch Trials Are Coming to the DHS Auditorium

September 22, 2021
In honor of the spooky season, the administration of the DHS Performing Arts Company has chosen to stage The Crucible as their Fall Play of 2021.
The play will be directed by Ms. Whittemore. PAC Administrators (Ms. Whittemore, Mr. Wurman, and Mr. Jackson) are excited to present bring this play to the DHS stage because of the motivating challenges it will place on both actors and the technical crew.
Auditions for The Crucible were held last week, where students performed Charlie Brown monologues or monologues of their own choosing. The following day, callbacks were held. On September 14th at 8 PM, Ms. Whittemore hit the send button and the cast list for the play was sent out!
The Crucible is set in Salem, Massachusetts during the Salem witch trials of 1692. The play is a fictionalized version of the trials and tells the story of a group of young Salem women who falsely accuse other villagers of witchcraft.
Performances will be held on Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 at 7 PM in the John F. Dunne Auditorium.
