Barnes & Noble in Paramus hosted the August 11, 2018 General Meeting of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County. Despite the minor glitch of our speaker being a last-minute no-show for the pre-meeting dinner (she made the General Meeting in plenty of time), things went extremely well. We had a higher-than-anticipated attendance and sold out of the books B & N brought in for the event.

Author Kathleen Flynn was our speaker. Ms Flynn has written the time travel novel, THE JANE AUSTEN PROJECT about a pair of operatives from our future sent back in time to recover THE WATSONS, a lost novel by Jane Austen without otherwise disrupting the time line. This is, of course, easier said than done.

Our speaker talked a bout the life of Jane Austen, her (both Austen and Flynn's) road to publication, time travel theory and more. Additional details will be posted on the club website, sfabc,.org, on the 2018 - 08/2018 Meeting Page.
