The Science Fiction Association of Bergen County held its annual Holiday Party on Saturday, December 11, 2004. The Pot Luck Dinner was held at the Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.

No speaker was scheduled for the meeting, but there was some video entertainment presented in the Wesley Room. Thanks go to Jim and Steve Spinosa for supplying MAD MONSTER PARTY by Rankin and Bass and also to Robert Yeager who brought the computer animated series, TRIPPING THE RIFT.

Pamela Webber took charge of getting the place in order for the event. Our thanks to her and the club members like Susan Presti who assisted her, as well as the young people who were in the Fellowship Hall when we arrived and who efficiently set up the space.

Among the main dishes offered were Chicken Nuggets (Paul Dellechiaie), Chicken Teriyaki (Nancy Denker), Turkey Meat Balls (Charles Garofalo), Chili (Carol Smith), and London Broil (Pamela Webber).

Side dishes, appetizers and vegetables included Rice-a-Roni (Philip De Parto), Pasta Alla Olio with Broccoli (Todd Ehrenfels), Butternut Squash (Pat Nash), Salad (John Pierce), a Vegetable Platter (Carol Smith), an assortment of appetizer spreads (Marcia Suzuki) and a Shrimp Platter (Robert Yeager).

Desserts included Holiday Bread (Sharon Archer), Donuts (Ann-Marie Brown), Cakes (Josephine Brown and Philip De Parto), Apple Pie (Maia Leibowitz), Cookies (William Molendyk), Rugulach (Susan Presti) and Popcorn Balls (Samantha Shortino).

This is not a complete list, nor does it include contributions of drinks and paper goods brought by a number of people.

There was lots of conversation and there was still a decent sized crowd at the Church until Phil De Parto told everyone to go home at 11:30 PM.
