The annual Science Fiction Association of Bergen County Holiday Party / Pot Luck Dinner was held on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church.

Attendance was again light, with Philcon drawing off some of the gang, and office, etc holiday parties siphoning off others, but those who were able to make it found a rich variety of food and amiable conversation.

Among the main dishes served were terriaki chicken by Nancy Denker, Mexican pasta by Philip De Parto, meatballs by Charles Garofalo, vegetarian pasta by Roy Greenberg, ziti with sausage and peppers by Damon and Monique Mc Colgan, and pizza by Roy Greenberg.

Side dishes included crackers, fruit and cheese by Sharon Archer and Bruce Wallace, vegetable soup by Moira Grey, pierogi by Alan Polyniak, fruit and dip by Asta Sinusas, veggie tray and dip by Carol Smith, and a shrimp platter by Robert Yeager.

Desserts included donuts by Sharon and Bruce, rugelach by Robret Pinkus, apple pie by Greg Roman, brownies by Don Smith, and cookies by Carol Smith, Pamela Webber and Robert Yeager.

Drinks included coffee provided by Pam and Phil, apple cider from Sharon, Bruce and Jamie, and soda and seltzer by numerous people.

We tried a new table and seating arrangement this year. Instead of a series of parallel tables, we set up a "U," which seemed to lend itself to better conversation flow. We will probably use it again next year.

The screening of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN proved to be a popular choice. Roy Greenberg organized a feedback group to give commentary on the deleted scenes which were viewed after the meeting was over.

A great many people helped with the set up and clean up. Special thanks go to Pamela Webber, Carol Smith, Charles Garofalo and Greg Roman in particular. Apologies to anyone who was overlooked.
