Notes:

Tom Doherty is a science fiction institution, best known as the founder of Tor Books.  He also worked for Ace Books and Tempo Books.  His background is in book sales.

Lynne Stephens and friend Ellen Pickles created one of the earliest Star Trek fan films, Star Wreck:  Commotion Picture.  They took the original Star Trek:  The Motion Picture film, edited it down, and then overdubbed dialogue and music.  Lynne would show the film out of her hotel room at various science fiction conventions.  She later worked at the Sci-Fi Channel and the Discovery Channel (primarily Discovery).
