The weatherman continued to discredit the science of meteorology by once again issuing an inaccurate forecast. Although the sky began to cloud up at the end of the day, no rain fell until after the picnic was over.

Meanwhile, the Bergen County Parks Department continued its wildlife preservation program by releasing hordes of flies captured around the world to repopulate their ancestral home of Paramus, New Jersey.

Other than that, things worked out fine. The weather was nice and there was plenty of food. I didn't eat much, myself, but did sample Pauline Alama's brownies which, along with her macaroons, were the hit of the day.

Roy Greenberg brought along Scrabble, Vince Kurdyla and several others brought along frisbees, and the Tomkins brought along a basketball (but were unable to find a court).

The weather was okay. No one got hurt. There were 26 of us present, as well as a half-dozen friends of the brothers Yeager.
