Meeting Program: Talk about Anime. Screening of Feature-Length Video.
Meeting Memories:
Paul Scrabo was a film editor for NBC who created the feature-length James Bond homage, The Hell with Helicals. Paul's best friend, Richard Scrivani, and Paul's future wife, George Ann Muller (both NBC film editors), were the chief operatives of SYNC, the secret agency within NBC which handled diabolical threats to the film industry. The cast and crew consisted of NBC editors, technicians, etc.
The SYNC agents mission was to stop the dastardly plan of former NBC staffer, Werner Wolfson, whose satellite would erase the film libraries of NBC and and the other television and movie studios.
The technical aspects of the work were impeccable. The cast were not actors, but they gave it their all.
Paul, George Ann, and Rich would later address the Association and show clips from a cable talk show focused on genre works.

Patricia Malone was one of the area's foremost experts about anime (Japanese animation). She was a past president of the New York Chapter of the CArtoon Fantasy Organization and the Animation Fantasy Association. This is from a time when anime was a rarity. This was her second appearance before the group.
