Notes:

I first noticed Joe's work on the cover of Terry Bisson's FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN. I was very impressed with the work and had never heard of the artist. I called someone at Avon (probably John Douglas) and asked about Joe. I discovered that he lived in New Jersey (he has since moved). This meeting was his first event at a science fiction function. It led to sales, convention appearances, and other work.
