Our scheduled guest had a last minute family crisis and called to advise that he had to cancel an hour or so before I was leaving for the meeting site.

No sense trying to put a good face on this one. Our guest speaker canceled out at 4:30. We attempted to make due with videos. These included a SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE STAR TREK skit, THE ROCKY SHOW cartoons, and an episode of THE AVENGERS: "A Touch of Brimstone."
Attendance was poor and dispirited. No dues or attendance was taken, though a few good souls tossed some money in.
