Scene 4.06 - The Body Electric
INT. Cell, Nazi Camp.
(AZALEA and RONNIE are almost naked, sitting cross-legged on the floor of the prison cell and playing a striptease card game. It seems neither side has a decided advantage over the other. Both women are highly aroused and sex is in the air.)
AZALEA
Do you have any Aces?
RONNIE
(Pleased:) Go-fish!
(Azalea draws a card, and removes her silky, taffeta scarf, throwing it on the pile.)
RONNIE (Cont'd)
Oooh! I'm gonna win!
AZALEA
(Watching RONNIE bounce with excitement:) You know, Ronica, there's another game we could play while we're cooped up in here all alone...
RONNIE
Sure, if you'll concede that I won this hand.
AZALEA
You win!
RONNIE
I win! Oh, goodie! Goodie-goodie gumdrops!
AZALEA
(Lights a joint:) You're the Go-fish champion of The Universe.
RONNIE
(Raises fists like a champion boxer:) I am the champion of The Universe!
AZALEA
You're a lot more than that, baby. (Passes joint to her.) So, Ronica-
RONNIE
(Taking joint, smiling:) Yes?
AZALEA
I was thinking. Well, just wondering, actually. Have you ever been kissed by a girl?
RONNIE
Why, no, you're the first girl I've ever met.
AZALEA
Would you like me to kiss you?
RONNIE
Sure!
(They kiss. Then again. One more time.)
RONNIE (Cont’d)
Did I do it right?
AZALEA
Oh baby you're a natural! You got me flushed and my heart's pounding out of my chest!
RONNIE
Tell me about it, I'm all dizzy. Hey! I'm a robot, I'm not supposed to get dizzy!
AZALEA
(Pinches her lightly, she squeals:) Hmm, and that?
RONNIE
Huh! Go figure! I felt every bit of it!
AZALEA
(Puts the back of her hand gently to the RONNIE'S face:) Yeah, and you're all flushed, too! You realize what this means, don't you!
RONNIE
Yes! It's true! I'm a real woman now! (Pause.) How is that possible?
AZALEA
I dunno, maybe something about crossing over into this world, or maybe Verne's Red-Eye training paid off after all.
RONNIE
About that-
AZALEA
Well, after you explained it to me, I see what he was really doing. It's ai't.
RONNIE
Cool. So, Zale, do you want to kiss me some more?
AZALEA
Yeah, I'd like that. I'd like to do alot more, Ronica.
RONNIE
Now that I'm a real human, I want to do ALL the things a real girl can do.
AZALEA
Yeah, baby. We got all the time in the world. I can make a time-closet, you know.
RONNIE
A time-closet? What's that?
AZALEA
Heh! A little magic-trick I learned a few years ago. We can suspend time almost indefinitely.
RONNIE
Sounds fun! Want to show me how to do it?
AZALEA
Oh yeah, I do. That, and more! In the closet, we can play lotsa other games I know.
RONNIE
Locked up in here, there's nothing else going on... Sure! Whatcha got in mind, Zale?
AZALEA
Hey, what do you say we turn out the lights and play Seven Minutes In Heaven?
RONNIE
Sounds fun, do we get to kiss some more?
AZALEA
As much as you'd like to, baby.
RONNIE
(Squealing and bouncing:) Oh, yippee!
AZALEA
Now, I'll hit the light switch, and you sit right there. Don't move a muscle.
RONNIE
If the lights go out, won't the guards notice and come back in? Won't they see us?
AZALEA
Nah, I got the guards all-distracted. I used a Red-Eye mind-trick to make them think they're attending a lecture on how to buy and sell real estate with no money down.
RONNIE
No money down? Oooh, maybe we should check it out then.
AZALEA
Relax, it's nothing but a three-hour scam, and the guards will be too busy trying to buy time-shares toward an imaginary condo to even bother us.
RONNIE
Well, if the guards are distracted, we could escape and get back with the others.
AZALEA
(At the light switch:) I suppose so, but wouldn't you rather play a few rounds of Seven Minutes In Heaven first?
RONNIE
Why sure! I want to try everything in this body! Everything a real girl can feel!
AZALEA
Well, I'm sure I can at least pave the way...
(They kiss.)
