(Ten men tied together are wading in the pool in front of a grand, slowly-sinking obelisk in the District of Columbia. Police and SWAT teams surround the Reflecting Pool and are escorting the frightened group of foreigners into a waiting, armored, police-truck.)

(From helicopter:) Carol, it seems that an additional ten illegal immigrants have been found at the base of the monument and are being transported to Fort Eustis where they will undergo initial processing. The two previously-captured have already been initially processed and a Nepali interpreter has been sent to assist in questioning. We expect an official statement in the next few minutes at the press conference.

The Nepali Embassy has submitted a statement that they are surprised to learn of these events and have not received any word on what faction or radical ideology is being represented here and, according to U-S customs officials, there is no record of these men having ever entered the United States legally, and I was told unofficially that some Nepali Embassy officials doubt that these men are even from Nepal. Officially, Nepali and American officials have been unable to verify the identities of the men. Director Lindquist said in a press release, "We know who they're not." All twelve of the captives are uniformed and armed, wearing Nepali historical dress with military insignia and rank. Details concerning their particular faction or ideology are unknown. Homeland Security reports that no explosives were found on any of the detainees, but has not ruled-out the possibility of a foiled terrorist plot against the United States.

Thank you Bob. We'll come back to this developing story, but right now we're going to the White House where the The Press Secretary is about to make a statement. If you've just joined this broadcast -- two, armed illegal immigrants were discovered at the base of The Washington Monument at eight-thirty this morning. Less than fifteen minutes later, authorities found ten additional men nearby, wading in the Reflecting Pool West of the monument. The detainees claim they are from Nepal, and are being questioned by White House officials and agents with Homeland Security. Now, over to our White House correspondent, Ted Enaliss, who tells us that the White House Press Secretary will give remarks concerning this morning's events. Ted?
