“Breakdown, Breakdown!”:

Users Consider VRChat Broken

Proof that VRChat is full of bugs by KittyCheshire (AKA Kitten0w0).

With every VRChat update, the platform seems to be less and less stable. After the last couple of patches, users reported having a significant amount of bugs and inconsistent issues with VRChat in general.

One of the most bizarre things about performance in VRChat is that many owners of high-end PCs, such as [NAMES], reported having serious issues with FPS drops despite having expensive hardware capable of running the app without any complications.

Even though it's a fact that VRChat doesn't seem any better than it was over a year ago on the surface, right now, the developers must be working on upcoming updates, because otherwise their current situation would raise a lot of questions.

It is known that they marked EvolvedAnt’s Canny post called “Instant crash for all users in world, gameobject count related” as "Under Review" just recently, which means they're considering fixing this issue in the future.

However, as Rokk said, “The problem is that it's all long term stuff that we've gotten zero word on,” and VRChat team doesn't try to look like they're in a hurry to release new innovative tools for their platform.

Today, during the discussion of the new rule (also known as rule 22) forbidding users from advertisement on Discord and meaning that Jazneo wont’ be able to promote Neos VR or the new Spider-Man game anymore, Tupper mentioned that VRChat used to have custom scripting, just like other products, including Neos VR.

Eventually, he mentioned the tools VRChat is still working on and then compared Udon to Half-Life 3. In conclusion, Tupper said, “The TL;DR is that there's no way to know for sure what's going on,” which means that not even Tupper himself knows what lies ahead of the company he’s working for.

There's still a possibility that they're trying to make VRChat look worse on purpose so there would be fewer griefers and the team could focus on production of their product for a smaller number of testers.
