1001 Passed Away

This Monday, on February 24th, 1001, one of the most talented world creators in VRChat, died of heart failure, as reported by his partner, SCRN.

This may be not the first loss of a talented content creator in the VRChat community, however, it is the first to gain massive attention, as hundreds of various world and avatar creators, streamers, regular users, and even VRChat developers paid respects to 1001, claiming that he was one of the most helpful and influential content creators in VRChat of all time.

A world called “Treehouse In The Shade” remains 1001’s most popular creation, featuring a variety of impressive shaders. On the next day after his death, the world got over 650 concurrent visitors.

“For two years he has been part of my life, and for two years he has been part of this community...” SCRN said. “I'll try my best to continue to do what he always wanted: to show the world the beauty of virtual reality and build an amazing community around it.”
