Winners of the VRChat Meme Awards

The voting is finally over. We’ve been delaying the ceremony for weeks, but this week, at long last, the host of the first VRChat Meme Awards finally announced the winners.

The one and only “Meme of the Year” award goes to “Cucked in VR” by EvolvedAnt, Amish Doink (AKA Pokelawls), and, of course, Anime2505, even though before the ceremony, the host stated that he’s still sure “How Do You Make Custom Avatar” should’ve been the true winner of this award.

“Creation of the Gods” of this year was made by Brochacho, a user who became well-known thanks to his “Emoji-Man” avatar.

This VMA’s “Creativity of the Year” goes to error.mdl for his avatar with the dancing skeletons that used to invade worlds like the Great Pug almost every single day during the Halloween contest.

According to the votes, the winner of the “Only 90’s Kids Remember” award goes to “Eurobeat Cars” that doesn’t have any specific representatives whatsoever. Despite the fact this category was for memes that were popular before VRChat became mainstream, eurobeat was quite common before the winner of our next award became a thing.

“The Most Annoying” meme of 2017, without a doubt, goes to “Uganda Warriors,” accidentally created by Clunt_Westwood, Gazton, and probably a bunch of random kids.

The title of “Mr. / Mrs. VRChat 2017” was supposed to go to JoeyBagels (AKA Nagzz), however, during the ceremony, someone voted for VR Pill, and now they have equal amount of votes once again, so it seems they both are the winners at this point.

And last but not least, “Crowd Favorite” of 2017 is “Snakes” by Moddex and his community known as “Solid Legion” who probably voted for themselves.
