Watch Your Back:

Third-Person Point of View for Desktop Users

Recently, it came to our attention that Vowgan is working on a custom prefab in order to deliver something a lot of desktop VRChat users have been asking for, the third-person camera and controller.

According to Vowgan, the prefab can be applied in many different ways. Some of the things he experimented with include post-processing, health bars, momentary zoom, and a mini-map, all of which may be seen on the screen.

“Originally, this was to fix an issue with the camera position affecting your playspace in VR back when I thought I could make it less disorienting,” he explained, after which he also added, “I kinda screwed my equilibrium a few months back, so being in VR for more than five minutes isn't really a thing I can do anymore.”

If you share the same case with Vowgan, or if you can’t afford or don’t want to get your own VR equipment at the moment, you may want to follow @VowganDesign on Twitter so you can download the prefab by using the link in one of his latest tweets.
