Apocalypse Now:

VRChat Faces Its Judgment Day

by Pan Diman

Latest stats on the drop of VRChat’s player base provided by SteamSpy.

The Doomsday has come. VRChat is losing people, upload servers are less stable, and no one seems to know any official details regarding what’s been happening for the past few week in VRChat. However, it was mentioned in the “Announcement” channel that it’s not a DDoS attack and developers are already looking into it.

Besides that, people reported getting teleported randomly multiple times. “Yes,” Very cool dude replied, “It's happened to me.” As long as we don’t have any explanation from the VRChat development team, this can be called as paranormal activity only. Later, Very Cool Dude commented on this issue saying, “Unfortunately, just more reasons for everybody to stay isolated in invite-only and friends-only worlds.”

Among other issues, we heard about people getting notifications about being banned for no reason. VR Pill responded, “It's very easy for us to confirm if someone was actually banned by a ****** if they send us an email.” So if you keep having problems with unreasonable bans, make sure you contact the VRChat team by sending them an email, but keep in mind that in this case they have to verify it’s your account if you’re the one sending it before they can solve your issue.

Also, there was yet another strange thing that happened lately. According to Hydreus, he recorded a person who managed to crash a client of an excessively racist user, as it was shown in a YouTube video, so feel free to scan the QR code to watch the censored version.

Hydreus also mentioned the user could replicate others’ avatars, change his own username and even levitate, “I just saw that he can fly… Like, he's literally a Corgi at the end, and he just flies away out of the map. I didn't even know that was possible…”

Rumor has it that this so-called “Corgi-Man” might have done something against the rules of VRChat, and if that’s the real case, the vigilante should be definitely banned by now, no matter how possibly good his intentions were.

Moderators will always watch over us. Screenshot of VR Pill’s head by Pan Diman.
