Last Sunday, we received an official announcement from Gunter saying that the fifth stage of the Hunt for Mr. Whiskers (not counting Mimi’s Cute Forest puzzle) got delayed.

The message was published in the “Announcements” channel of “The Hunt for Mr. Whiskers” Discord server. “Hello Hunter, tonight we are unable to release the next stage in the The Hunt for Mr. Whiskers ARG. Unfortunately the puzzle world has too many bugs and we don't feel comfortable shipping it,” Gunter said last Sunday/Monday. “We will release the next stage as soon as possible. And I’ll keep you updated via Twitter and Discord. Keep in mind this game is created and ran by community members in their free time. This is no easy task and can even be stressful. We will continue to work hard getting this next puzzle out along with all those that follow.”

Even though Gunter promised to keep us updated, there haven’t been any new event-related announcements yet, so it seems that the current stage is going to get either skipped or delayed until the time the next one was supposed to go live.

The hunters started a discussion regarding the upcoming world for the Hunt, and the most common opinion so far seems to be that The Madcat is going to be a part of the next stage. “Check out Madcat,” said Blast. “The public map. It’s destroyed. Mr. Whiskers’ name is even written on the board.” If you visited the world already, you probably noticed that the world looks like it got “ruined” by Mr. Whiskers, same as the previous worlds involved in this event.

On the other hand, it could be just one of the hint worlds used primarily for guiding hunters to the right path. For example, as Groovemaster47 mentioned, “the only thing we found was that Tron game,” and who knows, maybe that was the hint.

Among other news, we heard that a group of Mr. Whiskers supporters had some sort of a meeting in Gunter’s Universe, a place where the event got started on April 1st. So far, nobody knows their true motives.
