VRChat Turned Five Years Old

Last week, on January 15th, VRChat turned five years old. To celebrate this occasion with the community, the classic “Old VRChat Coffee Shop” world has been provided with a recent update.

On their Twitter page, VRChat posted a tweet asking followers about their favorite memories made in VRChat, in response to which the most popular comment by TruNoom said, “When my 6-month girlfriend turned out to be a trap, that's my fav.”

Also, VRChat shared some numbers to show off stats regarding the use of their platform in 2018 followed by what may be considered “achievements”, such as 4 million avatars created, 240 million world visits, 12 million friendships made, 36 million hours spent in VRChat, etc.

Surprisingly, we also found out that only 30% of active VRChat users own VR hardware. Our experts are considering the possibility that 70% of VRChat accidentally mistook it for Second Life but don't know how to leave the game.
