Since countless events got canceled due to the coronavirus quarantine, many chose VR as the medium to keep the conventions running while staying isolated to ensure everyone’s safety under current circumstances.

Although some events, such as TwitchCon, had to be canceled due to the coronavirus, some people took the initiative and announced a new event in VRChat called “VRCon” where the attendants will be able to meet Twitch streamers and YouTubers, as well as find various panels and workshops in December of this year, according to @VRCon2020 on Twitter.

Among other examples, “Syntax Error,” one of the clubs from Stockholm hosting events for geeks every month, had to cancel the event as well; however, the club’s venue has been recreated from scratch by one of their regular DJs, MissStabby, who kept the party going last Saturday, on March 28th, while hosting the event in VRChat and streaming it on Twitch at the same time.

And, as usual, there will be another installment of Virtual Market, the biggest virtual exhibit organized by Japanese users promoting digital goods and services from April 29th to May 10th, also featuring works of fluent English speakers for the first time.
