Welcome to the Club:

Volt Becomes Public

by Pan Diman

DigitrevX’s VOLT Dance Club.

After over a year in development, DigitrevX finally published his biggest VRChat project to date, the VOLT Dance Club. The world remained open only to his friends until recently, and now it is officially public for everyone.

The world received tons of positive feedback due to its extreme visuals, attention to detail, and design in general. And probably some mandatory weeb EDM music, which is currently very common.

However, one of the reasons why users like it that seem unusual at first glance, is that most people’s favorite part of the world is private lobbies that work in a similar way to rooms in the Void Club, but with additional features, such as player shadows on the doors, that seem like minor details but play a significant part in the world’s user experience.

Apparently, people really enjoy having private space in public worlds. As it was possibly mentioned by owlboy, “This is the future.” Also, it has been mentioned that the rooms are inaccessible to people using glitches in attempt to reach the private zone, which makes the system much more secure.
