VRChat Raises $10,000,000

Solar System in motion, first public example of content created with Udon by VRChat.

On September 5th, VRChat announced that the company received $10,000,000 in series C funding from HTC, one of their biggest partners so far, and finally showed some content made with Udon for the first time ever.

In response to congratulations and comments on Twitter, Ron (CCO of VRChat) confirmed that this means the platform is going to receive updates with advanced avatar systems and improved user experience at some point.

All changes that may be expected so far (most of which are pretty basic) have already been covered in VRChat’s roadmap, but as for the near future, it seems we can only expect Udon, Unity 2018 LTS support, and Networked IK improvements.
