VRChat Users Becoming Camgirls

After the recent debut of ProjektMelody on Chaturbate, a popular streaming service platform for adults, many users expressed interest in virtual reality as a medium and tried following Melody’s steps on their own.

As it is known, ProjektMelody has been extremely successful, as the virtual camgirl gained over 10,000 followers in just three days. As a result, this made many real-life camgirls worry because of the competition caused by a digital model. There have been numerous rumors about ProjectMelody using VRChat to stream NSFW content since her assets are being provided by DigitrevX, creator of The Volt Club. In response, Melody stated that she uses custom-made software only, however, this hasn’t stopped some of the users who got inspired by her.

MoonPixie was the first streamer to get banned in VRChat for streaming sexually explicit content on Chaturbate, despite her stating it was a test stream and she didn’t violate the TOS. “I’m the first to get banned for trying it out,” she said. “There’s lots of women in VRChat saying they want to do it and they just didn’t know it was allowed on Chaturbate.”

It appears that ProjektMelody is bringing even more attention to virtual reality worldwide, however, only time will tell what it means for the industry, technology, and the future of humankind.
