Mute Becomes VRChat’s First Supreme Leader

One of the biggest VR role-playing event series, initiated by Lucifer MStar in 2021, has ended with the election and inauguration of Ben-To (SSBcraft on Twitch) as the Supreme Leader of VRChat.

Since the idea of a Supreme Leader election evolved into a series of social, pseudo-political events, it brought competition with high stakes among not only well-known public figures, but even large role-playing groups, ranging from diplomats, like Gormundr, known for his previous experiences as a leader and a public speaker, despite not participating in the competition, to misfits and organized crime groups, such as The Mortisian Syndicate, a large association of criminals who recently provided mental health support to boost their reputation during the election.

Aside from Lucifer MStar who started the competition and Ben-To, the list of contestants included CaptPanda, Spencer Filson, KuriGames, FrankBot, Meathamski, And_Perishables, SenpaiVR, SenPie, RUin, and Senny Supreme.

In addition to forming the Council, which is going to consist of the candidates representing various kinds of people of VRChat, Supreme Leader Ben-To claims to be aiming at active public speaking — despite being a mute — on behalf of VRChat’s community, until 2023.
