Better Late Than Never:

VRChat’s Very First Official Roadmap

by Pan Diman

Official VRChat Roadmap published on Medium.

For the first time ever, on June 6th of 2019, VRChat published their official roadmap which includes the description of the development's further directions regarding some changes that may happen to their platform eventually.

As it was mentioned on Medium, VRChat will focus on three major aspects: SDK, security, and (hopefully) technical stability. Also, the developers stated that during the third quarter of this year their secondary focus will be set on audio, "traveling", expression, social features, avatars, and UI/UX.

It was also announced the development team is going to release new tools for content creators and users. And, as it seems, some of the new tools and features may already be seen (or rather heard) in some worlds with the Open Beta client.

Lastly, but not least importantly, VRChat is planning to give access to Udon for “Internal and Closed Testing”, which means they may or may not be considering the possibility of testing it with the help of content creators before making it public so that by the end of 2019 everyone should be able to do things literally nobody besides VRChat and their friends knows anything about at the moment.
