World by a Cat Replacing the Hub

As you may know, some people in VRChat have different opinions on the new hub due to occasional performance issues. This kind of problem led certain users to considering creating new worlds to spawn in immediately after launching VRChat.

The cat mob himself, known as WhyNotRight, claims to have created this world for his own reasons,“Because the way the new hub is built, it’s not the greatest, and many people are already complaining about it.” Later, he mentioned that he doesn’t really like using the official VRChat hub, “I'm sure a lot of people would, but for me personally, I would not use it.” In summary, WhyNotRight claims his world to be “a place that people can spawn at” without going into any major specifics. As of writing this article, the world contains several rooms we know of, including the spawn, the portal room, the hologram room and the events room that is currently being worked on.

If you want to make this new hub your “home” world, feel free to use following instructions shared on Discord, “Go to your Steam library, right click ‘VRChat,’ then click ‘properties,’ then click ‘Set Launch Options...’ and then paste this in the box that has popped up ‘vrchat://launch?id=wrld_2992b341-9c17-4a32-b996-d4d91837c578’ without the quotes, and then click ‘OK.’ Now, restart or launch VRChat.” You may use the provided QR code to read the text as well.

As for the features, WhyNotRight mentioned that he’s going to add new stuff, although he didn’t mention when the changes are coming, “A lot of things, like a hang out area, and I'm working on an event hall right now.” Even though the hub doesn’t seem to be public yet, he said that everyone can use it. Also, when we asked him when it’s coming out, he said, “I'm not very sure, but I will try to make it public as soon as I can.”
