One of the main hosts and organizers of some of the biggest events in VRChat, including Community Meetup, known as Squid shared his progress on a mobile app made for VRChat users.

Although it doesn’t provide any innovative means of communication between the app users and people in VRChat directly, which could fix countless communication issues, the creator claims to be working on features similar to the ones on VRChat’s official website, and eventually, it might even allow users to change their in-game status, which cannot be accessed on the website, but the full list of features may be subject to change.

“I want this app to become something that really compliments the VRC experience,” he said, “and is as important/useful to a typical VRC user, as playspace mover is to someone who has full body.”

So far, the minimum Android version for the app is going to be either 4.0, 4.4, or 6.0. In the meantime, the development may slow down for a short while due to Squid’s plans in regards to his very own custom engine to ensure better experience with a game he may be currently working on.
