After three years of massive collaborations with members of the VRChat community, the developers are putting an end to their tradition, although the Times Square world is getting an update.

From 2017 till 2019, VRChat was more open to volunteers and their posters, most of which ended up in the Times Square world, but this time users had the chance to contribute only in case VRChat asked them directly. Most likely, this has been done to avoid nuisance cases caused by members of the community, such as the Church Of Christian Knights, whose rights to submit content for the event have been revoked due to the acronym of the group’s name, which, apparently, VRChat did not find very suitable for the official event two years ago.

However, the world is being shared in collaboration with Virtual Bass, a VR music festival featuring 24 DJs starting from December 31st. As usual, the event will start with the first New Year’s Eve celebration in Samoa (UTC+14:00).
