Stage One of Community Labs

On March 7th, VRChat published their recent announcement about a brand new system called "Community Labs" for their platform, which changes the way worlds get published.

From now on, users will be able to show their worlds to everyone immediately without the moderators' approval, which means streamers should think twice before going to unapproved worlds. As someone on the VRChat team stated, the system is going to be similar to Newgrounds.

“To sum up, we can upload worlds to VRChat without review now but they get placed in Community Labs category,” said Lakuza, creator of Luxerion World. “Users will get warning about lab worlds before entering though. Think of them as early access worlds.”

However, with great power to publish content comes great responsibility, and now users will be able to publish no more than one world per week. Besides, VRChat refers to the current state of Community Labs as “Stage One”, so, perhaps, in the future, new updates may come and add something different to the system.
