This week had so few events worth the notice that we’re going to review the latest update of the Presentation Room in VRChat provided by the official VRChat developers themselves, obviously.

So, as you can see, the Presentation Room got a fresh new look, and it’s got a huge update this week. In short words, the chairs were removed from the world completely, and the markers got improved.

Right now, Presentation Room is one of the most popular worlds in VRChat. A lot of people spend their time in here, even those weird kids screaming into their low-quality mics that you can hear in many public places, especially worlds like Open Mic Night, for example.

But a lot of people who prefer their rooms being more private also like hanging around here. Froxty, one of the users who regularly visit Presentation Room, said a few days ago, “I wanted to suggest them to make a local mirror because my friend and I spend a lot of time there, but we also want to stare at the mirror.”

There were multiple rumors about upcoming updates, but it’s always hard to guess what’s about to come from a small development team. Last Wednesday, Tegura said, “I heard a rumor that the old presentation room is going to die and be replaced by a new one. Rest in peace, old presentation room.” However, the changes applied to it were quite minor.

After the update, smug loli but without the smug commented on the new appearance of the world in a Discord channel, “Wow, presentation room looks so weird without the chairs… Only thing that changed was no more chairs and an ugly button. Oh wait, no. They added a roof too. Which sucks.”

The best thing about the update is probably the new markers that actually work much better than the previous ones. And that’s it. But it’s still good.

Seems like painting became slightly easier for desktop users who created their own artworks that actually looked quite decent, and it’s certainly a good sign despite the feeling as if the chairs got stolen for some reason.
