Next best thing to french fries.
Ingredients:
1 stick margarine
4 or 5 large raw potatoes, pared
1 cup crushed cornflakes
1-½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 teaspoon salt
1-½ teaspoon paprika
Directions:
Pare potatoes and cut into ½ inch slices. Place stick of margarine in a jelly roll pan and melt. Add a single layer of the ½ inch slices of raw potatoes and turn them once so that each side is coated with butter. Mix remaining ingredients together and sprinkle all over potatoes. Bake at 400o for 15 min.
