Original Day Family Cookbook
Makes 6 dozen 1" cookies at 30 calories per
Ingredients:
3/8 cup high polyunsaturated margarine
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, slightly beaten
1-½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup whole-wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup wheat germ
2 cups rolled oats
½ cup raisins
¼ cup sunflower seeds, toasted (I used sesame seeds instead)
1 tablespoon water
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Stir together remaining dry ingredients and combine with creamed mixture and water. Stir until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake in preheated 375o oven 9 to 12 min.
