Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk
1 cup wheat sprouts
4 tablespoon butter
6 tablespoon vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup whole wheat flour
1-½ cup white flour
3 - 4 tablespoon ice water
Directions:
Put egg yolk and sprouts in the blender for 20 seconds on high. Cream butter and shortening in a large bowl. Add flours and salt. Mix with mixer or by hand until like coarse meal. Mix in egg and sprouts. Add ice water one tablespoon at a time until dough is firm but not sticky. Refrigerate.
