Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
1 lb. sliced carrots
1 can (16 oz.) tomato sauce
1 cupsugar
salt & pepper
½ cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 can (16 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained
½ cup celery
Directions:
Boil sliced carrots, just til tender. Combine tomato sauce, sugar, salt & pepper, oil, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce over carrots. Add onion, green pepper, corn, and celery. Cover and marinate overnight. Keeps week in refrigerator.
