Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
½ cup sesame seed paste (tahini)
½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup whole wheat flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sesame seeds
Directions:
In bowl, cream together sesame seed paste and butter. Beat in sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat in next 4 ingredients. Do not overbeat. Fold in sesame seeds. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheets. Press lightly with floured fork to form criss- cross pattern. Bake in preheated 350o oven 10 mins. or until golden brown.
