A favorite lunch of the Day kids.
Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
1 to 1-½ lbs. of pork sausage
1 green pepper, chopped
2 green onions (scallions), chopped
2 or 3 celery stalks, chopped
2 cups chicken consumme or boullion
1 cup raw rice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ tablespoon salt
Directions:
Crumble pork sausage into skillet and brown. Then add all other ingredients. Dr. Martin then puts the lid on and lets it simmer at the lowest possible heat. He comes back in an hour and his dinner is ready.
