Our family was capable of eating this whole cake within an hour! Very rich. Even non-chocolate lovers like this chocolate cake.

Put in saucepan and bring to boil margarine, cooking oil, cocoa, and water. Sift together flour and sugar. Pour chocolate sauce over dry ingredients and mix well. Then add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla. Pour into greased broiler pan or jelly roll pan. Bake at 400o for 20 min. While cake is hot, frost with this frosting.
Frosting:
1 stick margarine
4 tablespoon cocoa
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 lb. confectioner's sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Bring margarine, cocoa and buttermilk to boiling point, remove from heat, add rest of ingredients. Frost. When cool, cut into squares, remove from pan. Makes 30 large squares.
