Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
6 ounces orange gelatin
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
1 pint orange sherbet, softened
Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Drain oranges and pineapple and add 1 cup of juice to gelatin mixture. Chill until slightly thickened. Blend in sherbert and fruit. Sliced bananas may also be added. Pour into one quart mold. Chill until firm and serve on lettuce leaves for salad, or in sherbert glasses for dessert.
