Original Day Family Cookbook
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon powdered clove
1 pound smoked ham (shank end)
1 pound ground shoulder pork
1 cup canned whole cranberry sauce
Directions:
About 1-¼ hour before serving, heat oven to 400o. With fork, slightly beat eggs. Add next 3 ingredients and crumbs. Let stand a few min. Add ham and pork - combine thoroughly. In shallow pan, shape meat into oval loaf. Mash cranberry sauce with cloves. Spread on top. Bake 1 hour.
