Tomato Pudding

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup tomato puree
¼ cup water
2 cups bread cubes, crust removed
½ cup melted butter
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, puree and water. Cook 5 min. Meanwhile, place bread cubes in a casserole; pour butter over bread. Add tomato mixture. Bake at 325o for 50 min.
Variations:
1-1-½ (not packed ) cup brown sugar
2 10-½ ocup cans tomato puree
6-7 slices (4 cup) bread cubed
½ melted butter
½ teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon salt
