Serves 2-4
2 packages tempeh, cut into 1x2 inch rectangles
1/4 cup canola oil, more or less, to coat the bottom of your frying pan
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup hot wing sauce
- Heat oil in a large skillet.
- In a medium bowl, lightly toss the tempeh with the soy sauce and vinegar. Pour out any excess liquid. In another bowl, combine the cornstarch and baking soda. Add to bowl with tempeh, and toss to evenly coat tempeh.
- Add tempeh to pan and fry on each side until golden brown all around. Once finished, toss in bowl with hot wing sauce, until well coated. It is now ready to serve with ranch dressing
