On Monday, November 22, 2021, the Norwood High School Senior class of 2022 won the 2021 Powder Puff Game against the Junior class of 2023 in a close game until the last half, with many good catches, throws, strategic plays, and some confusion.

“The beginning was very like coordinated and stuff and like I’m not gonna say it fell apart over time but like I’d say they got like more disorganized, but it was still very entertaining to watch the whole thing, um it was very exciting throughout the whole game, cause the game was really close,” said John Cavanaugh who filmed the game for NHS TV.

John’s ideas about the game aren’t too far-fetched. Senior Annie Sisk says that as far as the actual game, she didn’t really know what was going on.

“I don’t really know how to play football so I was definitely really confused on what I was actually supposed to be doing,” said Sisk who had fun playing the game, but was unsure about what she was supposed to do during plays.

Even if many people didn’t know exactly what was going on all the time during the game, there were still many good plays that should be recognized and were certainly memorable for many who watched the game.

Freshman Colleen Sisk says her favorite play was, “Probably Morgan Roach’s touchdown because everyone got really excited.”

Even with the juniors' good plays and support in the stands, they were no match for the seniors and lost 18-12 in the second half.

This is what most players and viewers predicted as the seniors usually take the big win.

However, the juniors still have one more shot to take their victory next year in the 2022 Powderpuff game.
